Qualcomm is “Going to Be a Mad House this Year”

Posted Apr 23, 2014

The Bolts' 2014 schedule boasts an impressive home slate.

We’ve known since January the eight teams that will visit Qualcomm Stadium in the 2014 regular season.

But when the schedule was announced on Wednesday, we learned just how impressive a slate it’s set to be.

Simply put, the Q will be rocking!

“It’s going to be a mad house this year,” said Nick Hardwick.  “With the way last season ended and how into it all the fans were, I can’t wait to see them this year.  It’s going to be awesome.”

Last year was Jahleel Addae’s first year in the league, and he quickly learned the impact a strong fan base can have.

“I love the Q!” said Jahleel Addae.  “Their support is major. We have some of the best friends in the world and we feed off them.  When we get energy from the fans it definitely gives us an advantage.”

The home schedule kicks off in impressive fashion in Week 2 when the Bolts host the Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks.   The Chargers know they will need Qualcomm Stadium to be loud when they host Russell Wilson, Marshawn Lynch, Richard Sherman and the rest of the Super Bowl champs.

The Bolts have a trio of two-game homestands throughout the year, with the first coming in Week 4 and Week 5 when they host the Jacksonville Jaguars and New York Jets.  After travelling to Oakland in Week 6, they return to America’s Finest City to host the first of three division rivals, the Kansas City Chiefs.

Following a Week 10 Bye, the Bolts will play at home for four of the next five games starting with a meeting with their bitter rivals the Oakland Raiders, followed by an extremely rare visit by the St. Louis Rams.

After a cross-country trip to Baltimore, the Chargers return to Qualcomm for the final two home games of the year.  Both games will be tough tests against two teams who faced off in last year’s AFC Championship Game.  The first is a Sunday night primetime affair against Tom Brady and the New England Patriots, which will be followed by a visit from Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos.

Without a doubt, Qualcomm Stadium is set to play host to an impressive series of games.  Entering his third year in the NFL, Ladarius Green knows the importance of a strong home field advantage and reiterated how he can’t wait to see how strong the fan support is this coming season.

“Having the fans behind us is so important,” the third-year tight end said.  “Last year we saw the kind of impact they can have.  They boosted us up and gave us extra energy when we needed it.”

Individual game tickets are not on sale yet, so the only way to secure your seat right now is by becoming a valued Season Ticket Member.
