Pagano to Co-Host Flavors of Gaslamp Friday Night

Posted Jun 10, 2014

Defensive Coordinator John Pagano is co-hosting Flavors of the Gaslamp to benefit MS research.

There will be a significant Chargers presence Friday night when the Seventh Annual Flavors of the Gaslamp takes place as Defensive Coordinator John Pagano will once again co-host the popular event.

Numerous Chargers including Vincent Brown are expected to be in attendance to show support for what promises to be “a night of hope and inspiration for those battling Multiple Sclerosis.”

NFL legend and San Diego Native Eric Allen has long spearheaded Flavors of the Gaslamp in honor of his nephew.  Pagano attended many of the previous incarnations of the event before lending his name to it in 2013.

“Eric Allen is a dear friend of mine and asked me to be involved with it,” he said.  “I’ve long been a supporter of the fight against MS.  It’s a cool event that I’ve attended and went as a guest when Lorenzo Neal was hosting it. They asked me to be involved with it and I try to do as much as I can. This is my second year with my name on it, but I’ve been going for the last five or six years.  I always look forward to it because there’s great food from all different types of restaurants, it’s a fun atmosphere and it’s for a very important cause.”

Flavors of the Gaslamp will be held at the Marriott Marquis and Marina from 6:00 - 10:00 p.m.  The event features samplings from restaurants including Asti Ristorante, Bice, Cafe Sevilla, Candela’s, Chocolat, Eddie V’s Prime Seafood, Encore Champagne Bar and Dining Room, Las Hadas Bar and Grill, Lucky Liu’s, Marina Kitchen, Monsoon Fine Cuisine of India, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Rama, Roy’s, Saltbox, and Searsucker. In addition to the fine food, there will be both a silent and live auction.
