With the Pro Bowl being played a week before the Super Bowl this year rather than a week after it, the next major event on the NFL schedule is the Scouting Combine, which will be held during the last week of February. NFL Network will provide live coverage of player workouts and media interviews.
Players begin meeting with the media on Thursday, Feb. 25 with offensive linemen, kickers, punters, long snappers and tight ends scheduled to visit the interview room. Quarterbacks, running backs and wide receivers will follow on Friday the 26th, with defensive linemen and linebackers conducting interviews on Saturday and defensive backs wrapping up the media sessions on Sunday.
The NFL Draft, which will begin in primetime for the first time in 2010, kicks off on Thursday April 22. The first round will be held at 4:30 p.m. PT. The second and third rounds are set for Friday, April 23, beginning at 3:30 p.m. PT, and rounds 4-7 will be held on Saturday, April 24 starting at 7:00 a.m. PT.

Helping Hand
Cesaire continues to reach out to assist organizations who are helping relief efforts in Haiti. Cesaire, whose parents immigrated from Haiti to the United States in 1976, will appear at a benefit concert for Haiti Tuesday night at the University of San Diego’s Joan B. Kroc Institute forPeace & Justice Theatre.
Cesaire will welcome the audience, tell them why help for Haiti is important, how his family was impacted, and thank them for their support. He’ll then introduce Spanish guitarist Pablo Sainz Villegas, who will perform for roughly one hour. The event begins at 7:00 p.m.
