Mike Mayock: "Win the Turnover Battle"

Posted Dec 12, 2013

NFL Network's Mike Mayock weighs in on the match between the Chargers and Broncos.

Tonight marks the final Thursday Night Football game of the season.

After meeting with members of the Chargers, I asked NFL Network’s Mike Mayock what he thinks will decide tonight’s tilt between the Bolts and the Broncos.

Here is what he had to say:

“I think first and foremost it will come down to who takes care of the football.  Denver has turned the ball over a lot and that is part of their Achilles Heel.  So you have to win the turnover battle most importantly. I think secondly, the first time the Chargers played them, you gained an awful lot of yards but you kicked field goals.  I think you’ve got to convert those field goals to touchdowns.  Finally, you also you can’t allow big plays on defense to happen.”
