For the second day in a row, the Chargers brought back a familiar face as they claimed wide receiver Micheal Spurlock off waivers. To make room for him on the squad, the team waived running back 
The 5-foot-11, 210-pound Spurlock signed with the Chargers in the offseason and was on the team for the first four weeks of the season. Although the team didn’t want to lose him, the Chargers waived him on Oct. 3 to make room for cornerback
In his four games with the Bolts prior to being waived, Spurlock didn’t record any catches. However, he led all receivers in the preseason with 10 receptions for 134 yards. To make room for Spurlock, the Chargers waived Brinkley, who was in the middle of his fourth year with the team. The running back played in seven games, rushing 29 times for 60 yards along with nine catches for 63 yards. Brinkley was also inactive for three games this season.
