Meet the new guy: Kendall Reyes

Posted Apr 27, 2012

The Chargers selected University of Connecticut defensive lineman Kendall Reyes with the 49th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-4, 299-pound Reyes was a three-year starter and ranks 10th in school history with 32.5 tackles behind the line of scrimmage. The former Huskie brings the Chargers quickness off the snap and strong hands when engaging blockers.

San Diego now has drafted two defensive ends in the top 50 picks the last two years after taking Corey Liuget at No. 18 overall in 2011. Reyes follows the team’s first-round pick outside linebacker Melvin Ingram selected at No. 18 overall Thursday.
