Q: What can a win like Sunday do for a team? – Jordan Stackhouse
A: A lot. It was definitely a rousing victory that galvanized the team. The mood in the locker room after the win was unparalleled and they hope to use the win as a stepping stone for a strong finish this week With that said, the team has moved on from it now focused completely on the Cincinnati Bengals.
“Talk about a tough, gritty character. The character of this team to never quit to go down there and finish it off where we stumbled a few times this year, that can really be a building block for the rest of the season.”
Q: Four of the last five games at home can be huge. Do you agree? – Dennis O’Shea
A: Without a doubt! The Chargers have a strong slate of games coming up at Qualcomm Stadium that very well could define their season. Multiple players and coaches have said they need the Q to be loaded to give them a strong home field advantage against the Cincinnati Bengals, New York Giants, Oakland Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs. If you want to catch one or ALL of these sure to be exciting matchups, you can still purchase tickets if you haven’t already done so. To see just how important this home field advantage is to the team, check out what Head Coach Mike McCoy said:
“It will be great to get them at home. We have had great support from our fans at home. We are going to need the loudest crowd we can get to date. Sunday is a great opportunity after coming off a big win, like we just had, to come back home and as a football team you love to finish the last four out of five at home. We only have one game in mind right now. This Sunday is the only thing we can worry about. Everything else will take care of itself, but we need great fan support this weekend and have it as loud as possible.”
Q: How can
A: He certainly is in my book! If he keeps this up he very well might take home that hardware. In the meantime, be sure to vote for him for this week’s Pepsi Next Rookie of the Week.
Q: With Thanksgiving on Thursday, do the Chargers still practice or are they off for the holiday? – Andrea Weiss
A: The team will all have some time to celebrate the holiday in the evening, but the morning and afternoon will be their normal practice schedule. Can’t let up with a big game to play on Sunday!
