The San Diego Chargers continued a busy Tuesday with the addition of Adrian Hamilton.
The outside linebacker was most recently with the Baltimore Ravens, recording one tackle in two games in 2012. He attended training camp that season with the Dallas Cowboys before joining the Ravens practice squad in September. He eventually was elevated to the active roster for the team’s stretch run to a Super Bowl championship, although he was inactive the entire postseason. Hamilton missed the entire 2013 season after suffering a wrist injury and was waived last month.
A star at Prairie View A&M, the 6-3, 255-pounder recorded 108 tackles, 26 sacks and 34.5 tackles for loss over two seasons. Hamilton led the nation with 20.5 sacks his senior season, besting Robert Mathis’ Southwestern Atlantic Conference single-season record along the way.
