Kaiser Permanente Bolt to the Q 5K nearly sold out

The Kaiser Permanente Bolt to the Q 5k & Kids 1k Fun Run on Saturday, July 23 is nearly sold out.  A limited number of entries are available by going to www.Chargers5k.com.  The race start time is 7:00 a.m.

The Bolt to the Q is a partnership between Kaiser Permanente and the San Diego Chargers.  It starts at Chargers Park and finishes on the field at Qualcomm Stadium.  The 1k Fun Run for children will be held at the stadium.  All participants will receive a Nike DryFit Bolt to the Q T-Shirt.  The top three finishers in each age division and all children participating in the 1k fun run will receive a medal.
 
The adult entry fee is $38.  Entry fee for children 12 and younger is $15.  Proceeds benefit Mack’s Miracles, a non-profit charitable foundation started by Chargers offensive tackle Marcus McNeill.
 
Mack’s Miracles strives to improve the quality of life for youth by promoting healthy lifestyles, physical activity, education and financial literacy. The foundation offers several programs, including a scholarship program, health fair and financial literacy workshop.

“Grab a friend, family member or neighbor and let’s run for a better and healthier community,” McNeill said. “This event encourages promotes many of the same goals as Mack’s Miracles – a healthy lifestyle and physical activity – and I'm excited to be a part of it.”
