How the Bolts Can Make the Playoffs

Posted Dec 23, 2013

Here is the path to the postseason for the San Diego Chargers.

After taking care of business against the Oakland Raiders and getting some help from the Buffalo Bills beating the Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots defeating the Baltimore Ravens, the San Diego Chargers need three games to go their way in Week 17 to make the postseason.

Here is what needs to happen:

The Chargers can claim the #6 seed in the AFC if:

1) SD win MIA loss or tie BAL loss or tie OR

2) SD tie MIA loss BAL loss

One thing the Bolts definitely need is another tremendous home field advantage.  Unprompted, Head Coach Mike McCoy addressed the fans in his opening remarks after Sunday’s win over the Raiders, telling them the team needs their help.

“We have a big one coming up this week,” he said. “We need our largest, loudest—however you want to say it—fan support this week. This is what it all comes down to. It comes down to the last game of the season. So as the fans, we’re asking you as an organization, we need as many Charger fans in that stadium. As much of our colors and our colors only please. Be as loud as you can because it’s going to be a great weekend.”

Make sure you are part of what could be a memorable day at Qualcomm Stadium!

Now, you can stay in touch with the team anytime, anywhere, on your mobile device with the official app of the San Diego Chargers.
