Game Time Rewind: Corey Liuget

Posted Jul 16, 2013

A look back at how Corey Liuget gets ready for Game Time.

Perhaps no Charger had a better individual season in 2012 than Corey Liuget.  In his second year, the defensive end blossomed into one of the premier players at his position, registering 51 tackles and seven sacks.

Liuget allowed us to tag along with him prior to the last year’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals to see how he gets ready for game time.

“When I see Qualcomm, all I’m thinking is Mount Olympus and having a heckuva day, a heckuva game and coming out on top,” he said.

When the team huddles up, Liuget says he likes to stay toward the back and not get too hyped up.  He prefers to hold it within until the game starts, then “it’s rock and roll time.”

Watch the video above to see what else Liuget does to get ready for game time.
