
The Chargers are deeply saddened by the death of former linebacker Lew Bush, who passed away from an apparent heart attack.
Lew was drafted by the Chargers in the fourth round (99th overall) in the 1993 NFL Draft. He played seven seasons for the Chargers and three seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs. Recently, he served as a pre-game commentator for the Chargers radio broadcasts on KIOZ. He was 42 years old.
He is the seventh player from the Chargers' 1994 Super Bowl team to pass away. The other players from the 1994 team were RB Rodney Culver, LB Dave Griggs, DT Shawn Lee, DE Chris Mims, LB Doug Miller and C Curtis Whitley.
