Dates, Times Announced for Preseason Games

Posted Apr 17, 2014

The dates and times for the 2014 preseason were officially announced today.

Last week the NFL announced the Chargers preseason slate for 2014.  Today, the team revealed the dates and times for those matches.

San Diego opens preseason play on Thursday, Aug. 7 at home against the Dallas Cowboys.  Kickoff at Qualcomm Stadium is set for 7:00pm.

One week later, the Bolts head north to face the Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks.  The game is set for Friday, Aug. 15 at 7:00pm at CenturyLink Field.

The Chargers then have nine days before their next game, when they visit the Bay Area to face the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, Aug. 24.  The Week 3 tilt was already announced as a nationally televised 1:00pm game on FOX Sports.

Finally, the Bolts return to the Q to host the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday, Aug. 28 at 7:00pm.

The games against the Cowboys, Seahawks and Cardinals will be televised locally by KFMB-TV, Channel 8 in San Diego, with local blackout rules applying for the two home games.
