Daily Roundup: Wild Card Monday

Posted Dec 30, 2013

Here is your daily roundup of all things Chargers and the playoffs from Monday.

Win, lose or draw, the Chargers abide by the 24 hour rule. So while they had a wild celebration on Sunday at the Q, the team is already hard at work getting ready for Wild Card Weekend against the Cincinnati Bengals.

We at Chargers.com abide by the same rule, so today was all about putting the finishing touches on a comprehensive recap of the big win before turning our focus to the Bengals.  Here are all the articles, videos, highlights and behind the scenes access from the impressive win.

First up, head into the locker room moments after the big win to hear from Philip Rivers, Mike McCoy and Dean Spanos after earning the final AFC spot in the postseason.

Then, check out this extensive gallery of the team celebrating on the field and in the locker room.

We were also lucky enough to be invited into the office of team President Dean Spanos. Check out what he had to say about heading to the playoffs, what the journey has been like with Telesco and McCoy and why the Chargers aren't satisfied to simply be in the tournament.

Watching the team gut out a huge win, we also learned a lot about these Bolts. Check out my weekly 'Five Lessons' from the previous game and find out why Philip Rivers truly is Mr. December.

Like we do after each win, we presented fans with some of the best radio calls from the Chargers radio broadcast team of Josh Lewin and Hank Bauer.  Watch the top plays below then click here to vote for your favorite!

From yesterday's victory, Philip Rivers, Ryan Mathews and Keenan Allen were all nominated for NFL awards this week for their standout performances.  Click here to vote Rivers' masterful overtime drive as the GMC Never Say Never Moment of the Week, here to vote Mathews as the FedEx Ground Player of the Week and here to vote Allen as the Pepsi Next Rookie of the Week for a whopping fourth time.

This afternoon, McCoy, Rivers and Corey Liuget all addressed the media. Watch what they had to say below.

Also, don't forget to flip through these 152 top official team photos from the big game.

Finally, if you missed anything from Sunday's wall-to-wall coverage, including a BoltsCast with Keenan Allen and Eric Weddle, check out our Total Recap of the Bolts being playoff bound!

Now, you can stay in touch with the team anytime, anywhere, on your mobile device with the official app of the San Diego Chargers.
