D.J. Fluker Blog: My Take on Training Camp

Posted Jul 26, 2013

D.J. Fluker provides today's blog during training camp.

Throughout training camp, we’ll be giving Chargers players the opportunity to talk directly to you, the fans, with blog entries of their own.  Kicking it off is first-round pick D.J. Fluker.

I’m happy to be here getting the chance to write to you and give you all a taste of what life has been like at camp. We’re having a good time out here, so thank you for the support you’ve given us.

The first two days have gone real well.  They have been a little tough and a little hard, but I’m working equally hard at it.  Me and Jeromey Clary and Nick Hardwick, we’re getting our communication down so that’s good. Overall, the whole offensive line is doing real well.  But we know we have to keep working at it and getting even better.  We won’t ever be satisfied!

My favorite part of training camp is going up against the defensive line and linebackers.  It gives me a good sense of where I’m at and it lets me be physical!

I also want to take this chance to say what a class organization the Chargers have been.  They make sure to take care of the players with first class treatment and massages and anything else we as players could ask for.  They are putting us in the best place possible in terms of our health. They are making sure we are in tip top shape.  I also want to thank Mr. Spanos for giving us everything we need to be successful and really caring about us as players and as people. To me, it’s a blessing to be here.

Thanks for letting me check in and giving you a glimpse of what life is like for me as a rook!  I look forward to catching up with everyone in the future.

D.J.
