Chargers.com Heads to the Scouting Combine

Posted Feb 18, 2014

All week long, Chargers.com will be your one stop shop for everything Chargers and the Combine.

All roads lead to Indianapolis this week as the NFL takes over the city for the annual Scouting Combine.

So what is the Combine?

It’s where the best of the best from the collegiate ranks come to work out in front of all 32 NFL teams’ decision makers.  Divided into position groups, each prospect gets weighed, measured and tested for speed, strength, agility and so on.  They also perform football drills on the field at Lucas Oil Stadium before having official meetings at night with teams’ scouting departments and coaching staffs.

Some players’ stocks will soar while others will inevitably drop.  It all adds up to high-stakes drama, and Chargers.com’s Ricky Henne and Jordan Beane will be on hand to break down all the action after each group performs.

All week long, we’ll provide you with all the articles, videos, photos, inside access and exclusive content directly from one of the biggest and most important NFL events of the year.   In addition to our wall-to-wall content on the participating prospects, we’ll be checking in with General Manager Tom Telesco, Head Coach Mike McCoy, Executive Vice President of Football Operations John Spanos and Director of Player Personnel JoJo Wooden throughout the week to get the latest on all things Chargers.  Plus, we’ll talk with some of the prominent media members and football analysts in attendance to get their expert opinion on the Bolts.

We also want you to weigh in and be part of the excitement.  On Wednesday at 12:00pm PST, Ricky Henne and Jordan Beane will host a live chat to answer all your questions related to the Chargers, the Combine, the Draft and much more.  Later in the week, we’ll be asking Telesco and McCoy questions directly from you, the fans, so be sure to submit whatever is on your mind in the form below.  We look forward to hearing from you while we’re in Indy!

Now, you can stay in touch with the team anytime, anywhere, on your mobile device with the official app of the San Diego Chargers.
