Now in his eighth NFL year out of the University of California-Davis, the 6-2, 232-pound O’Sullivan spent 2009 with the Cincinnati Bengals where he played in three games, completing 4-of-11 passes for 40 yards with no touchdowns and no interceptions.
Originally a sixth-round draft choice of the New Orleans Saints in 2002, O’Sullivan has spent time in New Orleans (2002-04), Green Bay (2004), Minnesota (2005), New England (2006), Carolina (2006), Detroit (2007), San Francisco (2008) and Cincinnati. His most extensive playing time came while with San Francisco in ’08 when he started eight of nine games played and completed 128-of-220 (.582) for 1,678 yards while throwing eight touchdown passes and 11 interceptions.
O’Sullivan’s career totals include 17 games played, eight starts, 145-of-257 (.564) for 1,866 yards, nine touchdowns and 13 interceptions. He also has 39 rushes for 145 yards.
The 31-year old quarterback also played two seasons in NFL Europe (Frankfurt, 2004 and ’07).
A native of the Los Angeles suburb of Burbank, O’Sullivan played four seasons at Davis, including three as the Aggies’ starting quarterback. He left as the school’s all-time leader in total offense with 11,544 yards.
