Chargers Sign Four Draft Choices

The San Diego Chargers announced Wednesday they signed four of their draft choices.

The San Diego Chargers announced today that the team signed draft choices Chris Watt, Ryan Carrethers, Marion Grice and Tevin Reese to four year contracts.


Watt was the Bolts' third round selection out of Notre Dame.  The guard is a versatile athlete capable of playing all three interior positions on the offensive line.  Watt's selection reunites him with former Notre Dame teammate Manti Te'o, who gave the rookie a tour of San Diego over the weekend.


Carrethers was selected in the fifth round to add some beef to the middle of the defensive line.  A pure nose tackle, the athletic Carrethers was a productive force in college.

In the sixth round the Chargers drafted Grice to add to the already impressive stable of running backs. The Arizona State product said the Bolts showed interest in him throughout the entire draft process.

Finally, the Chargers added the explosive Reese with their final pick in the draft. General Manager Tom Telesco said the speedy wide receiver has big play ability
