The San Diego Chargers hit the field today for the first time under new head coach Mike McCoy for the first day of the team’s voluntary mini camp. For the last two weeks the players were allowed to work out and improve their conditioning during phase one of the offseason conditioning program. But today, they were able to do actual football activities, such as throw footballs and run routes, under the guidance of the entire coaching staff. The team took part in light no-contact drills as well as worked out with their individual position groups, learning more about the new coaching staff and the schemes they are implementing in the process.
Mini camp will run from today until thursday and we will have complete coverage right here at Chargers.com. This afternoon there will be a media session featuring Coach McCoy, General Manager Tom Telesco,
