The San Diego Chargers claimed linebacker D.J. Smith off waivers from the Green Bay Packers today.
The 5-foot-11, 239-pounder has appeared in 22 games over his two year career, recording 82 tackles, two sacks, five passes defensed and one interception. Originally a sixth-round selection in 2011 out of Appalachian State, Smith was the lone Packers rookie to appear in all 16 games.
