Chargers - Chiefs Pregame Report

Posted Nov 1, 2012

The San Diego Chargers (3-4) host the Kansas City Chiefs (1-6) tonight on “Thursday Night Football.” Kickoff is scheduled for 5:20 p.m. on the NFL Network.

The Chargers hope to snap a three-game losing streak against a Chiefs team they defeated 37-20 in Week 4.

The Chiefs, who have not won since Week 3 when they defeated the New Orleans Saints 27-24, will be without quarterback Brady Quinn tonight, so Matt Cassel will be asked to help end Kansas City’s four-game winless streak. Cassel threw three interceptions against the Chargers in Week 4.

Inactive for the Bolts tonight will be wide receiver Eddie Royal, wide receiver Robert Meachem, cornerback Chris Carr, strong safety Brandon Taylor, outside linebacker Larry English, inside linebacker Jonas Mouton and tight end Ladarius Green.

San Diego’s wide receiving corps is down to just three healthy bodies with Meachem and Royal out. Seyi Ajirotutu and Danario Alexander are both expected to play a factor in tonight’s game.

Tonight will also serve as the “Salute to Service” game.
