For the Chargers, it was like he never left.
“Nick was great,” said head coach Nov Turner. “I don’t think there was anyone on the team who felt like we brought a new guy in. The guys know him and love him. He’s been great for us. He’s a great competitor and I just had great confidence in him.”
Whether Novak will kick again for the Chargers next week vs. the New Orleans Saints remains to be seen, depending on how Kaeding’s groin responds over the next couple days. Regardless, Novak further proved vs. the Chiefs that he deserves to be kicking each and every Sunday in the NFL.
