BLOG: "Everything Matters"

Posted Sep 4, 2013

Head Coach Mike McCoy and the Chargers are using the motto that "Everything Matters" as they head into the season.

If you caught today’s practice snapshot or watched Mike McCoy’s press conference, you probably noticed the head coach wearing a shirt with the motto “Everything Matters” on it.  The shirt was handed out to the whole team as the phrase is something McCoy hopes to instill within his players.  He explained exactly what kind of meaning it carries for him:

“It’s just a little message that, we had a player talk to the team, and it really comes down to talking about (how) everything matters. That all the little details, what we worked on all camp long, all offseason, everything we’ve done around here that there’s no detail too small to talk about. Everything we do, it doesn’t matter what your job is.  You’ve got to do it the right way.”

What do you think about “Everything Matters” as a motto?  Let us know in the comments below!
