The San Diego Chargers made a pair of moves on Tuesday, signing safety Adrian Phillips to the active roster and defensive lineman Chuka Ndulue to the practice squad.
The 5-11, 210-pound Phillips appeared in three games after being promoted off the practice squad prior to Week 2, registering six tackles with one tackle for loss. He was waived on Oct. 12 to make room for TE Antonio Gates prior to Week 5 and immediately signed back to the practice squad.
Ndulue is a 6-3, 300-pound defensive lineman most recently with the Denver Broncos. He signed with Denver as an undrafted free agent out of Oklahoma, where he appeared in 45 games from 2011-14 totaling 140 tackles, 17 tackles for loss and 12 sacks. He played all across the defensive line during the preseason and registered half a sack. Ndulue began the season on the Broncos’ practice squad but was released on Sept. 22.
