The San Diego Chargers opened up two spots on the active roster Tuesday, waiving TE Kyle Miller and placing G Johnnie Troutman on the Reserve-Injured list.
Miller appeared in two games this season, and made his first career start last week in Minnesota. He appeared in Week 1’s win over the Detroit Lions, was waived prior to the team’s Week 2 game at Cincinnati and re-signed late last week.
Troutman’s season is over before it began as he was placed on IR due to the forearm injury suffered in the Aug. 13 preseason opener against the Dallas Cowboys. He started 15 games last season for the Chargers at right guard, but was inactive for the team’s first three games this season due to the injury.
The roster now stands at 51.
