Everyone is asking how training camp is for a rookie, and so far it’s been good. One of the best parts has been having the fans out here. They’re coming out and showing love, so I’m trying to do my thing on the football field and put on a show for them.
I’ve really focused on learning from the older guys and trying to get better. Guys like Eric Weddle, Shareece Wright, Brandon Flowers and all the vets, they are really smart and experienced players. So I’m trying to soak in as much of their game as I can and do my thing on the field.
Away from the field we are putting in a lot of work in the classroom. Some of the best moments are just chilling with the guys. We have a cool, laid back environment but we work hard. We are all staying in the playbook as much as possible and just learning. But during down time I’ve really spent a lot of time with the other rookies. Pretty much all of them. Marion, Darby, Chris Davis – I can name them all. I’m also really happy to be in San Diego because it’s a perfect city for me. Everywhere I go people show me love, and I appreciate that a lot.
Now I got to get back and start grinding again. Thanks for all your support and I can’t wait to Bolt Up on game day. Hope to see all of you at these practices too.
