Bolts Bond Over X-Men Screening
One far-reaching theme prevalent throughout Chargers Park is that the team is an incredibly tight knit group. They are proud of the chemistry they have inside the locker room, which plays a significant role to success on the field.
To that end, many Chargers continued to bond away from the game as the players, coaches, front office and staff spent Wednesday night catching a special screening of “X-Men: Days of Future Past” together. Both rookies and veterans alike said all the time spent together is part of what makes this a special group of players.
“This was really cool,” said Ryan Carrethers, who recently joined the Bolts on Saturday after being selected in the fifth round of the NFL Draft. “It’s an honor to be a part of a team like this. They have made me feel very welcome and comfortable. It is an honor to be a part of something so big like this. It is a great bonding experience.”
The team also gave the film rave reviews. There are quite a few comic book aficionados on the Chargers who had high expectations, and they were happy to see the film live up to them.
“I liked it a lot,” said Johnnie Troutman. “There was a lot of good action and I liked the scenes with the Sentinels. Plus it’s always good to hang out with these fellows. Anytime we get to spend together is a good time.”
