When training camp opened in 2013, Seyi Ajirotutu was not in attendance. However, it didn’t take long for the team to bring back the popular wideout. Ajirotutu rewarded the Chargers with a standout season that saw him not only lead the team in special teams tackles, but also make a memorable game-winning catch in the final seconds against Kansas City.
Not surprisingly, fans have been clamoring for his return. On Monday they got their wish as the wide receiver is returning to San Diego on a one-year contract.

While his impact was mainly felt on special teams, Ajirotutu has proven to be a valuable wide receiver when called upon. The 6-3, 215-pounder had three receptions last season for 64 yards and one touchdown, averaging 21.3 yards per catch. His biggest reception was the play of his career. With just 24 seconds remaining and the Chargers down by four, he sprinted up the left sideline and dove to cradle home a 26-yard game-winning touchdown to beat the Chiefs.
