The San Diego Chargers today placed outside linebacker Larry English on the Reserve-Injured list with a pectoral injury suffered Sunday against the Denver Broncos. In a corresponding move, the team signed linebacker Adrian Robinson to the roster.
A product of Temple University, the 6-1, 250-pound Robinson appeared in six games for Denver this season, making one tackle on defense and two on special teams. He appeared in 12 games last season with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles this past offseason in exchange for running back Felix Jones, but was released by Philly before being claimed by the Broncos.
English injured himself Sunday shortly after making a sack on Peyton Manning. In his fifth year out of Northern Illinois, English appeared in nine games for the Bolts this year, starting five. He totaled 18 tackles and one pass defensed in addition to 2.5 sacks. For his career, English has recorded 91 tackles with 11 sacks.
