What a win for the San Diego Chargers. A total team effort on both sides of the ball led to a complete and thorough 24-6 victory. Below you will find all the articles, videos, highlights and behind the scenes access from the impressive win. Before we get into it, head into the locker room to watch Head Coach Mike McCoy’s victory speech to his team, and see him hand out a very special game ball.
As you saw, Philip Rivers was given the very ball he passed to Eddie Royal to surpass 30,000 career passing yards. It truly is elite company he finds himself joining, becoming only the 37th player in NFL history to reach that plateau. Read all about it here, and then see what Rivers had to say below:
Allowing Rivers the chance to be successful was the tremendous job done by the offensive line. Even more impressive is the fact they did so with a reshuffled deck. After injuries to King Dunlap and Mike Remmers, D.J. Fluker was forced to move to left tackle while Jeromey Clary kicked out to right tackle. Read about the resilient nature of the unit then see what Fluker had to say.
Eddie Royal also deserves accolades. After missing practice all week in a walking boot and being listed as questionable, the receiver came through in a big way for the Bolts. Watch one of his highlight plays below; the one in which Rivers surpassed 30,000 career yards through the air.
One of the stars on defense was Thomas Keiser. The outside linebacker recorded his first two sacks of the season. Click here to read about how he is turning into a playmaker.
