Being a San Diego Chargers season ticket holder comes with many perks and rewards.
Just ask Mike Enge.
A season ticket holder since 1993, Enge was surprised at Chargers Park on Tuesday when he learned he was the grand prize winner of a trip for two to Super Bowl XLVIII. Confetti rained down on him as he walked through the doors and was greeted by President Dean Spanos, General Manager Tom Telesco, Head Coach Mike McCoy, Chief Executive Officer A.G. Spanos and members of the Charger Girls.
“(I was thinking) don’t have a heart attack when I saw everything,” said Enge. “Don’t pass out. I was just overwhelmed.”
For A.G. Spanos, rewarding the long-time supporter is all about showing season ticket holders how much the Chargers organization appreciates all they do for the team.
“This is the second year of our grand prize trip being a trip to the Super Bowl,” he said. “We’ve grown the season ticket holder’s sweepstakes package every year, and we’re very excited to have our grand prize selection walk through the door this year. He was totally surprised. He was a great selection. He’s been a season ticket holder since 1993. He sits in the lower view, and he couldn’t have been more excited and thankful. It’s just our way to show our season ticket holders our appreciation for all they do for the organization. The season ticket holders are the backbone of our organization, and we just can’t do enough to show our appreciation for them.
