Chargers Sign Four of Their Six Draft Picks

As players reported this afternoon for the beginning of the Chargers’ rookie mini camp, four of the team’s six draft choices put pen on paper inking their first professional contract.
They include inside linebacker Manti Te'o (second round, 38th overall), wide receiver Keenan Allen (third round, 76), outside linebacker Tourek Williams (sixth-round, 179) and quarterback Brad Sorensen (seventh round, 221).
“It’s a dream come true,” Te’o said moments after signing his contract. “Now it’s time to play football. It’s definitely a blessing, but now I’m ready to get to business.”
All the rookies arrived this afternoon and underwent physicals, had their head shots taken and were fitted for equipment. They take the field for the first time Friday afternoon. Read
