Southern California to see Chargers-Titans game live
Enough tickets have been sold to lift the local television blackout for the Chargers’ home opener against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, Sept. 16. The game will be televised live in San Diego on KFMB-TV, Ch. 8 and in Los Angeles on KCBS-TV, Ch. 2. Kickoff is 1:25 pm PT. Ian Eagle and Dan Fouts will describe the play-by-play action.
Several hundred Club seats – some of the best locations in the stadium – as well as general tickets returned by the Titans are still available. The Chargers’ ticket office at Gate C at Qualcomm Stadium is open Friday from 8-5 pm and Saturday from 10-4 pm. Tickets also can be purchased online at www.Chargers.com or by calling 800-745-3000.
It’s going to be hot on Sunday, so the team is hoping it’s WHITE HOT inside the stadium, particularly for the Titans. Fans are being urged to WEAR WHITE to support the players and give us a stronger, more intimidating home-field advantage. The players will be in all-white uniforms and are excited to wear them for the first time in years.
If fans forget to wear white, the Chargers team store will have a limited number of WHITE HOT SUNDAY t-shirts available at $12 each.
Fans also are urged to get to the seats early so they don’t miss the pregame ceremony that is sure to be memorable and emotional. The Chargers will officially retire number 55 in honor of the most-decorated defensive player in team history, Junior Seau.
The radio broadcast can be heard on Rock 105.3 FM and XTRA Sports 1360 AM in San Diego and KTLK 1150 AM in Los Angeles. Josh Lewin and Hank Bauer will call the game from the booth and Mike Costa will report from the sideline. The Chargers Radio Network also includes KATY 101.3 FM in Temecula and the Inland Empire; KCAL 96.7 FM in Riverside and San Bernardino; KNWH 1250 AM in the Yucca Valley; KNWZ 94.3 FM in Palm Springs; KAVL 610 AM in Palmdale and Lancaster; KSPA 1510 AM in Ontario, Inland Empire and Rancho Cucamonga; KRAK 910 AM in Victorville and Hesperia; KKYT 93.7 FM in Ridgecrest; ESPN Radio 1100 AM in Las Vegas; KXO 107.5 FM in the Imperial Valley and Yuma, Arizona; KHIT 1450 AM in Reno, Nevada, and Sirius Satellite Radio.
