Chargers FanFest Set for Aug. 4
San Diego Chargers FanFest, presented by Bud Light, will take place Saturday, August 4 at Qualcomm Stadium. It will be a special day for kids of all ages and parking and admission are free.
The Stadium parking lot will open at 8:00 a.m. and the gates will open at 9:30 a.m. A full team practice will take place from 10:15-12:00 noon.
Fans are in for a special treat as they'll have the chance to meet a number of Chargers greats from the past. The list of standouts includes Darren Bennett, John Carney, Darren Carrington, Terrell Fletcher, Mike Goff, Burt Grossman, Don Macek, Anthony Miller, Chuck Muncie, Billy Ray Smith, and Doug Wilkerson. They will sign autographs and be available for pictures from 9:30-10:30 a.m. on the plaza concourse at Gates A & G.
The entire 2012 Charger Girls squad will also be available for pictures. There will be a host of fun opportunities for kids, including free face painting and temporary tattoos. Fans can enjoy $2 hot dogs while browsing through the Chargers Team Store at Gate G and checking out some of the latest Chargers merchandise.
FanFest also provides the first public opportunity to purchase single-game tickets, which are going on sale at Qualcomm Stadium Gate C beginning at 9 a.m.
NOTE: FanFest will not include a team autograph session this year. Fans interested in an up-close look at the team during practice are welcome to attend the following practices at Chargers Park: Sat. July 28 (4-6 p.m.), Sun. July 29 (10:45-1 p.m.), Tues. July 31 (4-6 p.m.), Thurs. Aug. 2 (4-6 p.m.), Fri. Aug. 3 (4-6 p.m.), Mon. Aug. 6 (4-6 p.m.), Sat. Aug. 11 (4-6 p.m.) and Sun. Aug. 12 (4-6 p.m.).
