The San Diego Chargers signed three of their eight draft selections from the 2011 NFL draft: LB Jonas Mouton (second round), T Stephen Schilling (sixth round) and LB Andrew Gachkar (seventh round). All three players signed four-year contracts.
Mouton was the Chargers’ second selection in the second and the 61st choice overall. As a fifth-year senior and third-year starter at Michigan, he led the Big Ten Conference in tackles. Schilling, also from Michigan, was a four-year starter and a two-time honorable mention All-Big Ten selection. Gachkar (GATCH-car) was a first-team All-Big 12 choice at Missouri.
