Outside linebacker Larry English had foot surgery this week and will miss four-to-six weeks.
The Chargers selected the 6-foot-2, 255-pound English as the 16th overall pick of the 2009 NFL draft. English played in all 16 games last year and started in Weeks 1 and 2, but his foot injury forced him to be inactive against Seattle.
English has 40 tackles and 2.5 sacks in 18 games for the Chargers.
